John Budge arrived in Hong Kong in November 1978 as a newly qualified solicitor, and has lived here ever since. He enjoyed a successful career as a dispute resolution lawyer, but in addition, he has been very involved and committed in many aspects of the Hong Kong community. During his time in Hong Kong, he has been involved with NGOs in different areas, such as mentally handicapped services, the elderly, disadvantaged youth, prisoners, drug mules, the homeless, etc., and this involvement continues to this day. He will share with the audience his personal story, his fascinating public service in Hong Kong, and his encouragement to others to get involved for the good of Hong Kong.
