"Knowledge across the curriculum" for the 2024/25 School Year


The Academy of Chinese Studies (ACS), under Our Hong Kong Foundation, held the "Cross-Disciplinary Enlightenment - 2024-25 Academic Year Learning and Teaching Resources Launch " on 28 June (Friday). ACS was honored to invite experienced primary and secondary educators, who have been promoting cross-curricular reading and curriculum design, to share their practical experiences. Additionally, the content and design concepts of the new academic year's resources were introduced.
In the instructional materials sharing session, Sally Chan, the Chief Editor of ACS, presented a series of rich learning and teaching resources for the new academic year, including the “Fireflies Read Online”, Learning & Teaching Resources of Citizenship and Social Development, etc.
Well received by primary and secondary schools, “Fireflies Read Online” is one of the key annual projects of ACS. Prior to the launch, golden awards for individuals with outstanding performance, awards for groups with outstanding performance, and active participation awards for schools were presented to recognize exemplary participants with active and engaged reading habits, and to encourage more students to deepen their understanding of the Chinese history and culture through reading.
