“Our Hong Kong Foundation–Dah Sing Bank Greater Bay Area Industry Development Index 2026” Press Conference and Panel Session
The “Our Hong Kong Foundation–Dah Sing Bank Greater Bay Area Industry Development Index 2026” (the “Index”) will be jointly launched on 22 October by Our Hong Kong Foundation and Dah Sing Bank, Limited (“Dah Sing Bank”).
Since 2024, the Index has tracked industrial development across the “9+2” cities of the Greater Bay Area (GBA), covering six key industries—Financial Services, Innovation & Technology (I&T), Trade & Logistics, Manufacturing, Construction & Real Estate, and Culture, Sports & Tourism. By blending quantitative data with qualitative insights, the Index captures not only the GBA’s overall development landscape but also the unique strengths and potential of each city. This makes the Index valuable references for policymakers, businesses, and research institutions.
With the GBA advancing high-quality development and industrial upgrading, businesses across the region are increasingly turning to modern professional services. Intellectual property (IP)—covering intangible assets such as technological innovation, brand equity, and creative assets—is emerging as a vital enabler of enterprise growth. Hong Kong, in its push to become a regional IP trading centre, is developing a full-service IP value chain to support the innovations of GBA enterprises.
While GBA enterprises are moving through a period of rapid transformation, they are also navigating an increasingly complex and volatile international trading environment. Testing, inspection, and certification (TIC) services, supported by broader mutual recognition of standards, offer a practical pathway to accelerate market expansion and enhance competitiveness across global supply chains.
Building on last year’s “Going Global” exploration, this year’s Index will examine the development strategies and growth potential of GBA enterprises through two focused themes—IP and TIC—aiming to equip businesses to seize emerging opportunities while driving high-quality development across the GBA.
