    (7 April 2020, USA)

Our Hong Kong Foundation Head of Community Engagement Angela Mo took part in the "Save Lives and Livelihoods" Virtual Global Think Tank Town Hall hosted by University of Pennsylvania Lauder Institute Think Tanks & Civil Societies Program Director Dr James McGann on 7 April 2020.

More than 300 chairs, presidents and executives of think tanks from around the world, including the Brookings Institution and The Heritage Foundation, as well as G20 and EU representatives attended the global town hall.

The international think tanks organized the Global Town Hall in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and to address new and unprecedented policy challenges facing countries around the world.

The think tank community shared strategies and skills for crisis management, decision making, fundraising, communications, policy research and advisory as the world’s public health systems and economy respond to disruptions brought on by the global pandemic.

Digital communities for global solidarity and cooperation provide insights on policy and strategies to strengthen healthcare systems while protecting global supply chains for essential medical equipment.

Best practices also inform governments how to best mitigate socio-economic-human risks, aftershocks and secondary threats.
