High Tea with Wayne Porritt

Our Hong Kong Foundation (OHKF) held a new event in the “Our Hong Kong Stories” series on 21 November. OHKF was delighted to invite Wayne Porritt, Independent Non-Executive Director of Sun Hung Kai & Co. Limited, and Board Director of Dalton School Hong Kong, as our keynote speaker; and Prof WONG Yuk-shan, OHKF Governor, as the Opening Speaker; and Jasmine Lee, Managing Partner of EY Hong Kong and Macau, delivered the Closing Remarks. Simon Wong, a year-three global business student at HKUST, joint the vibrant and interactive dialogue session, moderated by Nury Vittachi, Editor of fridayeveryday.com.
Wayne Porritt shared with the audience his amazing journey, from growing up on a farm in a rural Australian town with only 400 people, to being a banker at Standard Chartered Bank, Bank of America, Société Générale Australia, Ernst & Young, and State Bank of New South Wales. Having explored over 50 countries, he has spent 15 fulfilling years living and working in Hong Kong.
The event had a great turnout, including in-person and online participants, reaching out to both local and international audiences. Distinguished guests and OHKF fraternity members graced the event, including Dr Jane Lee, President of OHKF; and OHKF’s governors and advisors; and senior executives from foreign chambers of commerce in Hong Kong.
