In the face of social upheaval last year, Covid-19 pandemic and the recent political and economic turbulence, the prospect of Hong Kong has been shrouded with uncertainties. The Our Hong Kong Foundation (OHKF) today organised the seventh session of ‘INSIGHT FORUM’ with Professor Chack-fan Lee, President of the Chu Hai College of Higher Education, and a Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, who shared his profound insights on life enrichment, his experience in water resources management in China over the past 30 years, and his meticulous scholarship in the field of engineering.

1840年鴉片戰爭爆發之後清政府被迫簽訂《南京條約》、《北京條約》、《展拓香港界址專條》等一系列不平等條約，從此香港成為了英國殖民地。其中1898年簽訂的《展拓香港界址專條》列明新界的租借期是九十九年即到1997年就屆滿。

一美元兌7.8港元是香港人耳熟能詳的兌換數字，但其實香港貨幣首次與外幣掛鈎的「對象」，並不是美元。

1987年內地推動改革開放首要解決交通不便的問題，在八十年代，香港商人胡應湘首先提出與建連接廣州、深圳及東莞工地的高速公路，1994年內地首條粵港合作修建的廣深高速公路通車，被譽為「珠三角黃金通道」。
