Our Hong Kong Foundation (“OHKF”) today announced the results of a public opinion poll on the issue of land and housing supply, showing a grave concern about the acute shortage of land supply and a consensus for developing a new town measuring the size of Sha Tin among 60% of respondents. Specifically, more than 45% of respondents support the idea of large-scale reclamation outside Victoria Harbour, taking a lead over those who oppose by more than 10%. Likewise, almost half of the respondents are in favour of the government proposal to build an artificial island in the waters east of Lantau Island, leading by more than 21% over those who oppose.
