Ms Margaret LEUNG

Following over 25 years of banking across Asia, Margaret applied her expertise to establish Les Beatitudes Foundation Limited, a not-for-profit organisation. Through the humble neckties, she built an innovative platform connecting those who wish to give with those in need. 

The foundation aims to create opportunities for diverse community groups, reskill eager learners, and recycle the old into something new. Arts and heritage are infused into designs, crafting fresh narratives about Hong Kong's history. The products and events encourage people to view the city from a new perspective. Underprivileged women are trained, empowered, and provided with work opportunities they can undertake from home, and eventually becoming caregivers for the wider community. 

Since its inception, Les Beatitudes Foundation has received several accolades, including winning Operation Santa Claus 2021 (South China Morning Post and RTHK), receiving the Outstanding Organization Award in 2019 (Silk Road Women's Innovation Design, Xi'an), and earning the top award in the Cultural & Creativity category in 2018. 

Margaret is also a member of McGill University's Asia Advisory Group, where she draws inspiration to pursue her lifelong passions: being inquisitive, embracing diversity, and living with empathy.
