Mr William DU

  • Head of Marketing and Leasing at Kadoorie Estates Limited

William Du is Head of Marketing and Leasing at Kadoorie Estates Limited who oversees the leasing of luxury residential and commercial properties owned by the Kadoorie family in Hong Kong. He also looks after brand marketing, external affairs, CSR, and corporate communications for the Company. William has rich experience in real estate, having previously worked for Hang Lung Properties, New World Development (K11 Concepts Limited), and Swire Properties. William was Senior Manager, Mainland Affairs for the Hong Kong Jockey Club. He assisted to develop, establish, and maintain the Club’s relationship with China’s Central Government and key stakeholders, while fully supporting to the business development in Greater Bay Area and the Club’s contribution to the Hangzhou Asian Games on the equestrian affairs.

In his extra capacity, William serves as the Advisor to Our Hong Kong Foundation and is committed to advancing public policy and advocacy. He is currently the China Committee Member and Real Estate Committee Member of Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC), and a Youth Committee Member of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong (CGCC). William is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Hong Kong, a Global Shaper under World Economic Forum and a Special Advisor to Project Melo.

William is enthusiastic about promoting culture and music in Hong Kong and beyond, serving Young Patrons Committee of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra Society Ltd, Hong Kong Gaudeamus Dunhuang Ensemble as its Governor and Honorary Secretary, Hong Kong Jazz Society as its Board Member. William also finds his commitment in helping children for physical and mental well-being; therefore, he sits on the Boards of BC Philanthropic Foundation for Mental Health and VIVA China Children’s Cancer Foundation.

William has also dedicated to bridging the connection between Hong Kong and Chinese Mainland, since he is the Council Member of The United Zhejiang Residents Associations in Hong Kong and the Delegate of the Zhejiang Youth Federation and Vice Chair of Jinhua Youth Federation, Council Member of Guangzhou Foundation for International Exchange and Cooperation and Advisor to the Hangzhou Global Youth Talent Community. He has been active in the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG), the Secretary-General of HK Global Youth Powerhouse Summit, a member of Hong Kong United Youth Association and Hong Kong Huajing Society. William used to serve as the Partnership Director of Time Auction, a registered charity in Hong Kong to promote mentorship and volunteerism.

William also embraces global exchanges and has been playing his role in international affairs. He is the Advisor to the NexGen Leadership Programme of Committee of 100, the Chinese American Leadership Organization. He has been selected as the Voice of Future in 2011 by Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) and served the APEC China Business Council and APEC Asia Pacific Financial Forum. William used to be the Committee Member of Harvard College Association for US-China Relations.

William obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University with First-Class Honors and a Master of Laws from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He attended a Senior Executive Education program at Tsinghua University in 2015 and visited Harvard University, Stanford University, York University in Toronto for exchange programs.
