Mr Ng Chau Pei, Stanley is the current President of the Hong Kong Federation of Trade Unions, the member of the Executive Council (Non-official) and the member of the Legislative Council. He is well known as the “patriotic trade unionist” and has been working in labor movement and union development for decades. In 2012, Stanley was elected as the deputy to the National People’s Congress (NPC) and was subsequently re-elected in 2017 and 2022. In addition to NPC’s deputy, Stanley is also the member of Xiamen CPPCC Standing Committee. 

In the public sector, Stanley has devoted a long time to the issues of labor rights and employment conditions, frequently representing the Federation of Trade Unions and various industry unions to voice concerns on labor issues and propose the “Building Together for Prosperity, Sharing Together for Win-Win” concept for the development of the new era of labor movement. He was elected as one of the employee representatives to the Labor Advisory Board (2011-2016). Also, he was appointed as a member of the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Appeal Board (2012-2018). Now he is a non-official member of Human Resources Planning Commission.

In 2019, Stanley was awarded the Silver Bauhinia Star by the Hong Kong SAR Government for his contribution in social and labor right development.

Stanley is highly concerned about youth development and is passionate about education. He is the director of the Scientia Secondary School and serves as a member of the Court of the University of Hong Kong. He is always delivering lectures at universities and associations. Additionally, Stanley is the Chairman of the Lok Kwan Social Service and the member of the Advisory Board of Po Leung Kuk.

In addition, Stanley is the advisor of the Our Hong Kong Foundation and the member of the Chinese Association of Hong Kong & Macao Studies. He was a part-time consultant of the Central Policy Unit. Such experiences help him gain an extensive political experience related to national and Hong Kong affairs.
