Mr Richard LI Tzar-kai

Richard Li Tzar Kai is the Founder and Chairman of Pacific Century Group (PCG), an Asia-based long-term private investment group founded in 1993, with interests in financial services, technology, media and telecommunications (TMT), and real estate.

In 2010, PCG acquired the asset management business of American International Group, Inc. (AIG) and renamed it PineBridge Investments. PineBridge manages assets of over US$169 billion through its global network.

PCG holds approximately 70% of FWD’s interest, which is today the fastest-growing pan-Asian life insurer. Since its establishment in 2013, FWD has expanded its presence from 3 markets to 10 markets, now serving over 12 million customers. Through its joint venture in Indonesia, FWD also serves an additional 24 million local customers. Furthermore, FWD ranks as the top five life insurer in Southeast Asia in terms of annual premium equivalent.

Richard Li was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Cable & Satellite Broadcasting Association of Asia in 2011.
