Mr. Luk joined the Hong Kong Chronicles Institute in September 2019 as Managing Editor, and is currently Director of the Editorial Department of HKCI.
He graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, majoring in Journalism and Communication, and later received a Master of Philosophy from The University of Hong Kong.
After graduation, Mr. Luk had engaged in journalism for a long time. He had served as the Chief Editor of Sing Tao Daily and Sing Tao Evening Post, Chief Editor and Editorial Writer of Overseas Chinese Daily News, Executive Chief Editor of Ming Pao, Chief Editor of Hong Kong Economic Journal Monthly, and Editorial Writer of Hong Kong Economic Journal.
From 1988 to 2021, He served as a Part-time Lecturer at the Department of Journalism and Communication, The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Mr Luk used to be the Honorary Treasurer of The Newspaper Society of Hong Kong, and is currently a member of the Society's Jury Committee for "HK Best News Awards".
