Mr Gerhard HINTERHAEUSER

Gerhard Hinterhaeuser is Partner of the G70 Family Office established by a few prominent Chinese businesspersons in 2023, is Senior Advisor at Berlin Global Advisors, a geostrategic and government affairs advisory firm based in Berlin, and he is Advisory Board Member at Hansen & Rosenthal GMBH, a Hamburg based specialty chemicals manufacturer with a global presence. In 2024 he was appointed as Advisor to the Our Hong Kong Foundation.

With over 35 years of experience in the financial sector working out of Tokyo, Frankfurt, Singapore, Hongkong and Shanghai, Gerhard has expertise in financial markets, asset management, strategic thinking, and Asian business culture. He has held leadership positions amongst others at MEAG Hong Kong, the asset management company of the Munich Re Group in Asia Pacific, and PICC Asset Management, a large Chinese state-owned company in Shanghai.

Gerhard has a PhD in business from Cologne University in Germany, has studied in China from 1976 to 1977, and has done postgraduate research at The Tokyo University with a scholarship from the Japan Foundation from 1983 to 1984. He is fluent in German, French, English, Italian, Japanese, and Mandarin.
