Dr. William Lo, JP, is a distinguished business leader, entrepreneur, educator, and molecular neuroscientist with a multifaceted career spanning various industries. Known for his strategic acumen and visionary leadership, Dr. Lo has made significant contributions to telecommunications, technology, retails, finance, media, and education. Dr Lo is currently the Vice Chairman and COO of Meta Media Group, the leading global high-end media group in China. He is also the Publisher of the Bloomberg Businessweek Chinese Edition, and the Vice Chairman of www.dayuclass.com, a digital knowledge platforms. Dr Lo also is a Founding Governor and Chairman of the Charles K Kao Foundation for Alzheimer's Disease as well as The Independent Schools Foundation Academy, one of the most well-known independent schools in HK. He has also been the Chairman of Junior Achievement Hong Kong since 2013.

Dr. Lo began his illustrious career as a strategy consultant with McKinsey & Company in the 1980s. He later transitioned to Hong Kong Telecom IMS Ltd. in the 1990s, where he served as Managing Director. During his tenure, he pioneered the launch of Netvigator, Hong Kong's largest internet service provider, and iTV, the world's first interactive on-demand TV service, now known as NowTV. He further expanded his influence in the business world as the CEO of Citibank Hong Kong and Macau, where he oversaw significant growth and innovation. He also held the position of Non-Executive Chairman of WPP Greater China, the world's largest communications services group, and served as Executive Director and Vice President of China Unicom, one of China's major state-owned telecommunications operators. In addition to these roles, Dr. Lo has held key leadership positions such as Vice Chairman of I.T Limited, a major fashion conglomerate, South China Media Group, a renowned magazine publishing group, and Kidsland International Holdings Ltd., the largest children's and toy retail group in Greater China. Dr. Lo is the also founder of Da Z Masterclass, a digital knowledge platform designed to democratize education and provide access to courses across various fields taught by top notch Chinese Masters.

Dr. Lo's academic journey began at St. Louis School in Hong Kong, followed by earning an MPhil in Molecular Pharmacology and a PhD in Molecular Neuroscience from Cambridge University in 1987. His academic excellence and research have earned him recognition as a thought leader in his field.

Dr. Lo has been actively involved in public service and community engagement, serving on numerous Hong Kong SAR Government committees, including the Central Policy Unit, Broadcasting Authority, HKEx Listing Committee, Applied Science and Technology Research Institute, and Education Commission. He is currently a honorary member of the Advisory Committee of the School of Chinese Medicine at Hong Kong Baptist University, the Institute of Web 3.0 HK, the Hong Kong Proptech Association, our Hong Kong Foundation and a Board Governor of the Hong Kong Adventist Hospital Foundation.  

Dr. Lo's contributions to business and society have been widely recognized. He was named one of the "Global Leaders for Tomorrow" by the World Economic Forum in 1996, an accolade that honors individuals poised to shape the future. In 1999, he was appointed as a Justice of the Peace (JP) by the Hong Kong SAR Government, recognizing his outstanding community service and dedication.

Dr. Lo's leadership and impact have also been acknowledged with his appointment to various prestigious roles, including being the leader of a FinTech research project by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific's Banking and Finance sector in 2019. He was also appointed as an expert committee member of the GP Capital Research Institute of Shanghai GP Capital. In addition, Dr. Lo is a Board Mentor at Criticaleye, where he provides strategic guidance and mentorship to senior executives and board members.

Over the past two decades, Dr. Lo has served as a director for more than twenty publicly listed companies across Hong Kong, the United States, Singapore, and the United Kingdom. Currently, he serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director for several publicly listed companies, including Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB), where he also chairs the Audit Committee, CSI Properties Limited, Dong Jian International Holdings Limited, and Regencell Bioscience Holdings Limited (NASDAQ: RGC).
