“Visit Wuxi and you must see Lake Tai; visit Lake Tai and you must see Yuantouzhu”, Yuantouzhu is a peninsula in Lake Tai of Wuxi in Jiangsu. It’s also known as one of the top three places in the world to view cherry blossoms. In 1988, some 400 friends from Japan came and planted 1,500 seedlings together with the locals in Wuxi to promote friendship between China and Japan. Since then, Yuantouzhu is the symbol of friendly exchanges between China and Japan.
