Achievement Sharing Session cum Completion Ceremony of “Young Eco-Guide Programme”

20 Apr 2024 (Sat)

Taking advantage of the opportunity of the publication of Hong Kong Chronicles: Nature, and adhering to the mission of "educating the people", Hong Kong Chronicles Institute, under Our Hong Kong Foundation, launched the “Young Eco-Guide Programme”, and held a “Achievement Sharing Session cum Completion Ceremony” (“成果分享會暨結業禮”) on 20 April. 28 young people received a 100-hour eco-docent course and field trip, joined a 3-day and 2-night “Greater Bay Area Eco-Learning Tour for Hong Kong Youths”. Guiding over 1400 teens and underprivileged families to enjoy the nature and ecological views in Hong Kong, the youth also participated in an ecological docent internship. The Programme aimed to raise public awareness of environmental protection, unleash the employment potential of the youth, promote the development of eco-tourism, and let the public understand the close connection between Hong Kong and the mainland on the natural environment.

In the sharing session, mentor representatives, mentee representatives, and the guide tour participants were invited to share their unforgettable experiences and thoughts from various perspectives.
