In support of the "Beautiful Hong Kong - Journey to Nature" supplementary educational reading material co-produced by China Resources (Holdings) Co., Ltd. and sponsored by China Resources Charitable Fund Limited (CRCF), Hong Kong Chronicles Institute (HKCI) collaborated with the Education Bureau's Life-wide Learning and Mainland Exchange Section to organize an Online Teachers Professional Training Course on June 13 (Friday).

The training course, titled “Understanding our Natural History and Culture from the Perspective of Life-wide Learning: Hong Kong Chronicles and the Story of Hong Kong Natural Ecology”, aimed to promote both "Hong Kong Chronicles" and "Beautiful Hong Kong - Journey to Nature" to educators.

We were honored to invite Dr. Ken So, Education and Research Manager of Outdoor Wildlife Learning Hong Kong (OWLHK), as our speaker. Dr. So had previously contributed to the compilation of "Hong Kong Chronicles: Nature - Natural Resources and Ecology - Habitats and Fauna". During the session, he emphasized the importance of environmental education and provided an overview of Hong Kong's rich biodiversity and natural environment, encouraging teachers to appreciate and utilize the city's precious natural resources for outdoor education.

Additionally, Dr. Ming Yau-yau, Assistant Managing Editor of the HKCI, introduced the significance of chronicle compilation and presented both "Hong Kong Chronicles: Nature" and the "Beautiful Hong Kong - Journey to Nature" supplementary educational reading material. He encouraged teachers to incorporate the e-Books of “Hong Kong Chronicles” as enrichment materials for classroom teaching.
