On June 12, Dr Yau Yat, Executive Director of the Academy of Chinese Studies under the Our Hong Kong Foundation, served as the keynote speaker for the Civil Service College's new seminar series on "Presenting China to the World". The first seminar of the series, titled "Achieving the Rejuvenation of Chinese Culture: Insights from the Ne Zha Craze," explored how the country uses popular cultural creations to showcase the profound depth of Chinese culture globally, enhance China's appeal, and further strengthen its discourse power on the international stage.

This lecture series analyzes China’s development and challenges through multidimensional perspectives—including culture, technology, and the economy—enabling civil servants to gain a deeper understanding of the nation’s true narrative. It equips them to better fulfill Hong Kong’s role as a bridge connecting the country and the world, fostering mutual understanding and promoting exchange and cooperation. Around 340 middle and senior-level civil servants from 52 bureaux and departments attended the seminar.
