"CHINA TODAY" EP20: Development of power supply to improve Chinese quality of life
Modern civilization is inseparable from electricity. From 2016 to 2019, China spent more than 35 billion yuan (approximately HK$42 billion) on a new round of transformation and upgrading of rural power grids. The newly-added and transformed power supply lines are 2.3 million kilometers long, which is equivalent to circling the earth 57 times. 160 million people have benefited as a result. China has built the power supply network to the most remote areas, and everyone in need will not be forgotten.
