Kenny Shui, Vice President of Our Hong Kong Foundation and Executive Director of the Public Policy Institute was invited to speak at the SCMP’s Redefining Hong Kong 2026: Budget Edition on 9 March. 

During his featured panel, Kenny shared key insights on driving Hong Kong’s long-term transformation, noting that the latest Budget has returned the city's fiscal account to a surplus. Addressing the critical question of whether fiscal consolidation can be achieved without derailing economic growth, he outlined actionable strategies to sustain stock market activity, maintain stamp duty revenues, and support tech company IPOs.
