    Greater Bay Area Development

As the Pearl of the Orient, Hong Kong is not just an international financial, logistics, and trading center, but also the gateway between China and the rest of the world. As we face the increasingly fierce competition from across the globe, Hong Kong can no longer solely rely on its traditional priority industries; economic transformation is required to create future growth and to maintain its competitive edge.

The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) is Hong Kong’s solution to break through the bottleneck. Deeper regional integration and synergies can on one hand foster growth of Hong Kong’s new industries and to support national development; on the other hand, it can create broader and more diversified development opportunities for our youth.

OHKF Greater Bay Area Research Team would investigate the key elements for regional development, including the flow of talent, logistics, capital, and information between GBA cities. We would also explore how Hong Kong can play to its strength under “One Country, Two Systems” to support the sustainable development of the GBA, and to advocate for policies conducive to regional growth, thereby making Hong Kong a better place to live and work.
