    Ms. Winnie Chiu, JP holds a BSc from King’s College, University of London and currently is the President & Executive Director of Dorsett Hospitality International, Executive Director of Far East Consortium International Limited (FEC, HKSE: 035) and the Chairman of AGORA Hospitality Group Co., Ltd (Stock code: 9704 - the 1st section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange). Previously, Ms. Chiu worked in Credit Suisse (Private Banking Division) and Malaysia Land Properties Sdn Bhd.

    Dorsett is proud to be a Hong Kong company and one of the first hospitality groups to expand globally. As of September 2022, the portfolio of the major shareholder of Dorsett’s parent company FEC owns, manages and develops 64 hotel properties with approximately 14,000 rooms in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, United Kingdom, Germany, Austria and Czech Republic through different structures.

    An active member of the community, Ms. Chiu has also served on a number of government committees in various capacities and is appointed as a Justice of the Peace by the Government of the HKSAR.  She is a Member of the newly-formed Mega Arts and Cultural Events Committee, Member of the Advisory Committee on Built Heritage Conservation, Member of the 2021 Chief Executive Election Committee, 2017 Chief Executive Election Committee and The 12th National People's Congress Electoral Committee, the Vice Chairman and Vice Convener of Advisory and Public Relations Committee of Greater Bay Area Homeland Youth Community Foundation, Council Member at The Better Hong Kong Foundation, Board Member and Member of the Investment Subcommittee of The Community Chest, Advisor of Our Hong Kong Foundation, Primary Company Representative of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, Advisor of The Federation of HK Hotel Owners, Honorary Vice President of the GHM (Guangdong Hong Kong Macao) Hotel General Managers Society and Member of the HK Japan Business Co-operation Committee, The Y.Elites Association Limited, YPO HK Chapter and Hong Kong United Youth Association. Ms. Chiu has additionally served as a Member of Betting and Lotteries commission and Business Facilitation Advisory Committee.

    Ms. Chiu is a strong supporter of the Greater Bay Area’s new economy ecosystem, especially in regards to start-up companies and young entrepreneurs in the technology, healthcare and ESG sector. She is the management team member of Beyond Venture Fund, advisory committee member of Alibaba Entrepreneurs Fund (Greater Bay Area) as well as the Astera Capital Fund. In addition, she provides strategic and operational advice to a number of other investment funds.

    An influential advocate for arts and culture as well as education, Ms. Chiu is the Council Member of the University of Hong Kong, Chairman of Hong Kong Art School, Board Member of the Hong Kong Arts Centre, Asia Youth Orchestra, and Wu Yee Sun College, the Chinese University of Hong Kong and a member of the Information Technology Policy Committe at University of Hong Kong. Previously, Ms. Chiu served as Director of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Committee Member of the Hong Kong Arts Festival Society and Hong Kong Committee for UNICEF. During her tenure, she successfully raised over HKD 50 million for the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, benefiting over 1,000 art talents. Dorsett is also providing scholarship and internship opportunities for students from various colleges and universities. As of September 2022, Dorsett has donated over HKD 50 million for more than 1,200 students from secondary schools, vocational colleges and universities. In 2022, Dorsett has donated HKD 4 million to set up the “VTC Innovation and Technology Co-creation Centre”, a centre equipped with state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment and cutting-edge technologies to provide students with a space that cultivates innovation. As part of this, a special grant of HKD 900,000 has also been allocated to “The Innovation Award and Seed Fund” to fund impactful student projects to benefit the community.

    One of the youngest Justice of the Peace (JP) appointed by the Hong Kong Government, Ms. Chiu has also been accorded an Honorary Fellowship by The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and Vocational Training Council, the 2017 Female Leader Legacy Award, the Golden Bauhinia Women Entrepreneur Award, the World Outstanding Chinese Youth Award and the Women of Hope 2016 Award: Global Champion category, Forbes Asia 2014: Top 12 Asia’s Power Businesswomen and the 2014 Hong Kong Professional Elite Ladies Award.
