Mr. Ping Cheung LAU, GBS, JP

Mr. Lau Ping Cheung, a chartered surveyor by profession,  graduated from the then Hong Kong Polytechnic and holds a Master Degree in Construction Project Management from The University of Hong Kong. He is a past president and a currentfellow of The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors, a  past chairman of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (Hong Kong Branch), a past chairman of the Surveyors Registration Board, a former member of the HKSAR Legislative Council, a former non-executive director of the Urban Renewal Authority, a former member of the Council of The City University of Hong Kong, and the Council of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Mr. Lau is also the Chairman of the Hong Kong Coalition of Professional Services and served as a member of the HKSAR Economic Development Commission, a former member of the Basic Law Promotion Steering Committee, andthe Lantau Development Advisory Committee, and a former independent non-executive director of MTR Corporation Limited.
