    創建文化寶庫  把握歷史機遇 加入編撰《香港志》

    國有史,地有志。香港繼承中華民族優良傳統,啟動編修香港第一部地方志。誠邀香港資深學者/編輯,以及有志投身歷史研究的年輕學者,合力以「尋根、記載、承傳」的理念,巨細無遺地記錄香港千百年以來社會、人事和風物的發展及變遷,同心同德編纂流傳後世的香港百科全書,創建歷史文化寶庫。

    Responsibilities:

    Editorial and Publishing:

    • Write/edit content in Chinese and English, with an emphasis on English editing
    • Primary functions include translation of history from Chinese to English
    • Translate other materials and documents, mostly from Chinese to English
    • Handle production of publication/collateral in print and digital forms

     

    Corporate Communications:

    • Draft communications material, e.g. speeches, letters and presentation materials
    • Support brand building and reputational management

     

    Public Affairs:

    • Partner with cross-functional teams to create bilingual content
    • Provide English support in issue and crisis management
    • Provide line-to-take statements and act as spokesperson as needed

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree or above in journalism, translation, communications and/or history
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in academic/book publishing and English writing
    • Experience as an English editor/Chinese-to-English translator highly advantageous
    • Excellent command of both spoken and written Chinese and English
    • Good knowledge of Chinese history, cultural and current affairs
    • A high level of accuracy and understanding of connotations and cultural references
    • Detail-oriented, well-organized, efficient project and time management
