Mr. Yan-Lai Lo
Mr. Lo Yan Lai joined the Hong Kong Civil Aid Service Cadet Corps in his youth and continued to serve in the Civil Aid Service as an adult. He has served as the Commissioner since 2019. At the same time, Mr. Lo is also the Vice Chairman of the Hong Kong Association of Youth Development and the Chairman of the Hong Kong Award for the Young People, focusing on cultivating young people's spirit of challenge and determination. Mr. Lo is also enthusiastic about serving the community. He is currently the Chairman of the Kwun Tong District Fight Crime Committee and strongly supports the stability of community law and order.
Mr. Lo spares no effort in nurturing young people. Served as a member of the Committee on the Promotion of Civic Education and Commission on Youth, Mr. Lo worked with various uniform groups to promote national education through various large-scale activities, including "10,000 Miles Friendship Trek" exchange programme, and the May Fourth Flag Raising Ceremony at the Golden Bauhinia Square etc. While cultivating the civic awareness of young people, it also allows young people to have more opportunities to learn about our country.
In 2011, Mr. Lo was appointed as Justice of the Peace. Mr. Lo was awarded the Medal of Honor in 2019 by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government.
