    Arnold Chan Kwan-yeung

    Arnold Chan is the Founder and Chairman of Teach For Hong Kong. Since the start of the nonprofit in 2015, Arnold has recruited over 140 graduates as teaching fellows to teach in Hong Kong’s underprivileged schools, serving over 20,000 students. He has raised over US$3mn to support the future development of the nonprofit and Teach For Hong Kong’s stories were featured on all major local newspapers. Teach For Hong Kong is mainly funded by the Government’s SIE Fund, the D.H. Chen Foundation and MTR.

    Previously, Arnold has served 3 years as Institutional Sales in Goldman Sachs covering Greater China’s institutional clients such as sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, insurance companies, and corporations. During his time in Goldman Sachs, Arnold served as Summer Program Champion and managed the firms’ summer internship program. He represented the firm in campus recruiting and has involved in the selection of incoming graduates.

    Arnold attained 10 Distinctions in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination in 2006. He graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a BBA in Global Business Studies and Harvard with an MBA. During his MBA at Harvard Business School, he has focused his studies on Education Innovations and Technology and conducted a research on EdTech accelerators and incubators.

    With his achievements founding Teach For Hong Kong, Arnold is awarded with the Asia 21 2016 Class of Young Leaders by Asia Society and the Hong Kong Youth Service Award 2016 by the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG). He is selected as part of the Generation T List by Hong Kong Tatler in 2018, Forbes 30 Under 30 in 2019, and Hong Kong's Ten Outstanding Young Persons Award in 2019. 

    Currently, Arnold is leading the Hong Kong SME business of a Hong Kong-headquartered global fintech unicorn.
