Professor CHAU Kwong Wing has been teaching at The University of Hong Kong since 1987 and is currently Chair Professor of Real Estate and Construction.  He also served as Dean of Faculty of Architecture (2002-2005) and Head of Department of Real Estate and Construction (2013-2019).  Professor Chau has also served as visiting/advisory professor of Tsinghua University, Tongji University, Tianjin University, South China University of Technology and Chongqing University. He received the International Real Estate Society Achievement Award in 1999 in recognition of achievement in research at the international level.  

Professor Chau was elected as president of many local and international academic and professional bodies including the Asian Real Estate Society (1996-7), International Real Estate Society (2000-01), Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (2009-10) and Chinese Research Institute of Construction Management (2014-2016).  

Professor Chau has many years of experience in real estate research and consultancy.   He has done many consultancy works for private and public organizations.  He has also been appointed by the Government of the Hong Kong SAR to serve on many statutory bodies.
