    Dr Tik is a registered social worker and has served the community for more than 30 years. He progressed from being a frontline social worker to becoming head of a social service agency. He holds a bachelor’s degree in social work, and obtained a master’s degree in public policy and management as well as a doctoral degree in business administration researching “New Leadership Roles of the NGO Manager”. 

    Dr Tik has served as a Legislative Councillor and North District Board member. Over the years, he has been involved in a variety of public service roles, focusing on education, welfare, health care and community development policy. He has served as chairman of Committee on Home-School Co-operation, member of Board of Education, member of Commission on Strategic Development, member of Committee on the Promotion of Civic Education, member of Commission for Poverty, member of Council for the AIDS Trust Fund, member of Council for Sustainable Development and part-time member of Central Policy Unit. 

    Currently he is a member of Action Committee Against Narcotics, Operations Reviews Committee of the ICAC, Task Force on Home-school Co-operation and Parent Education, Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) Programme Advisory Panel, Chief Executive of The Hong Kong Institute of Family Education and Chairman of Action Health.

    Dr Tik has been a presenter of 「探索明天」 and 「飛躍學堂」on RTHK and 「教育新增點」 on i-Cable. He frequently speaks at public forums and talks. He has written three books, namely《望子成龍。家長心事》,《親子點狄》and 《CEO家長》、《做個CEO家長》。
