New TV Series Shows Close Bond between HK and China

Chronicles of China, a new TV info-segment series on TVB, presents Hong Kong’s contributions to China’s reform and opening-up, the fighting spirit of the people, and the close bonding between HK and our country. The 40 episodes are title-sponsored by The Hong Kong Chronicles Institute and OHKF.

Active Ageing with Gerontech
Gerontechnology is widely recognised as a key to addressing the challenges of an ageing population. OHKF in its latest research report advocates growing the gerontechnology ecosystem in HK and makes five recommendations to improve the quality of life for the elderly and for caregivers.

Understanding China’s Past & Present in Ten Minutes
To support teaching and learning in primary and secondary schools, the ACS, CIK, and HKCI co-published a new book called China’s Past and Present in 10 Minutes: 500 Articles for Teaching and Learning, featuring a wide array of articles on three key areas including the past and present of Hong Kong, ancient China, and modern China.

Riding Innovation Wave in the GBA
The upcoming Mainland Expedition on Entrepreneurship & Technology webinar will focus on the innovation opportunities and policy support in Zhaoqing and Jiangmen, as industry experts and entrepreneurs discuss the business environment of the two places. The project seeks to help HK young entrepreneurs to tap GBA’s innovation and business opportunities.

New Game to Promote Chinese Culture
To deepen audience’s understanding of Chinese culture and modern China, the Our China Story platform will launch a Chinese culture quiz in December. The quiz will cover ten topics on China and Hong Kong from OCS platform.

To extend our reach to English speaking communities outside Hong Kong, OHKF’s official Twitter page has been launched. The contents will focus on China’s social and cultural trends and hot topics in Hong Kong.

Promoting Self-Directed Learning with VR E-Resources
Two learning kits with VR technology and 360° panoramic photos for Life and Society and Chinese History subjects are produced to promote self-directed learning among students and to complement teaching. The interactive kits are created by the Academy of Chinese Studies with subsidies from the Quality Education Fund.
