OHKF President Sees Huge Opportunities in GBA for Hong Kong
OHKF President Mrs Eva Cheng spoke to China Media Group in an exclusive interview that Hong Kong is the most open and international city of China. Mrs Cheng is optimistic about Hong Kong’s development in integrating with the GBA and stressed that OHKF will strive to cultivate Hong Kong youth’s understanding of Chinese history and culture, and nurture their sense of national pride and identity.
OHKF collaborated with UNESCAP to compile the first Asia-focused gerontechnology report entitled Leveraging Technology to Implement the Madrid International Plan of Action on Ageing: The Experiences of China, Japan, and the Republic of Korea. The report was released on 6 May. OHKF Senior Vice President & Executive Director of Public Policy Institute Mr Stephen Wong and the Tech Innovation research team spoke at the report launch and exchanged views with international experts.
A high-level seminar was co-organised by the Association of Hong Kong & Macao Studies, Hong Kong Chronicles Institute, and School of History of Nanjing University on 29 April for an in-depth discussion with 51 scholars from mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau. They explored the significance of Hong Kong Chronicles and respective education initiatives.
Teacher Training Workshop on Promoting Chinese Culture
The Academy of Chinese Studies hosted three teacher training sessions at the invitation of the Education Bureau, Po Leung Kuk, and the Hong Kong Primary Education Research Association. The workshop presented to teachers teaching resource kits and experience in promoting Chinese history and culture for fostering a stronger sense of national identity among students.
