    CHINA TODAY EP39: Beijing-Guangzhou Railway

    07/26/2021 - 14:12

"Yum cha in Guangzhou in the morning, and eat roast duck in Beijing in the evening." This is a proverb that appeared 10 years ago when the Beijing-Guangzhou high-speed rail line was about to be completed.

From the south to the north, the 8-hour journey connects the "one-day circle" of life in the north and south of China.
The Beijing-Guangzhou high-speed railway has a total length of 2,298 kilometers, has 37 stations, and has a population of nearly 400 million along the line. It runs through many Chinese economic circles and urban agglomerations.

What's going fast is not only the railway dream of the Chinese people for a century, but also the dream of China's economic development.
